TUESDAYS commencing 5 September

BABIES BOOGIE WITH A PARENT

Suitable for mums, with babies and siblings to toddler age. £5 per family 9.30 to 10.15 am Lots of fun and fitness for all, encouraging engagement and interaction.

ADULT plus (teenagers age 14 and above) TAP FOR BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATES 7.30 to 8.15 pm £5
Rhythmic and fun, learning steps and routines in varying styles

NEW BOLLYWOOD DANCE Adults plus teenagers age 14 and above
8.15 to 9.00 pm £5
Recently started and moved from a Wednesday this rhythmic dance style is great for fun and fitness. Comfy clothes essential and Coin covered hip wrap provided by the school, bring lots of bangles. Suitable all levels

WEDNESDAYS commencing 6 September

9.15 to 10.00 am TIDDLERS MUSIC AND MOVEMENT £4.00 EACH.

Suitable for babes in arms through to toddlers 2 1⁄2 years and with a parent joining in. Fun and engaging with use of props and imagination, improvisation and singing too.

THURSDAYS commencing 7 September

FESTIVAL CLASS NEW last term . 4.00 to 4.45 pm £3.50

Suitable for existing pupils wishing to participate in duet, small group work at Hastings Festival March 2024. Learning performance techniques and other stage work. Please let me know any pupil not listed on the timetable for this class wishing to do so as an additional extra to attending term classes held on Friday 4.30pm and 5.30 pm and Saturday morning 10.15 am Primary class.

ACROBATIC ART CLASS 4.45 to 5.30 pm

Suitable ages 3 to 12. A fusion of dance and gymnastics, attendees will learn how to cartwheel and handstand correctly and much more. Great for flexibility, strength and endurance.

CONTEMPORARY CLASS 7.00 to 7.45 pm. New last term. Rye Community Centre Upper Hall £4

Studying various methods of contemporary involving space, time, force and shape. Great for adults with some previous dance experience, returning ex pupils (allowing teenagers to work with experienced adults) and teenagers studying for GCSE dance in mainstream educational schools. SPECIAL NOTE this term I am asking all seniors who were in the “Squid Game” contemporary group to attend as new contemporary group will be worked and groups sorted and performed within this class. See initials on timetable for all existing and new attendees.

This will not be a syllabus class but techniques will be worked on along with varying sequences and ideas and musical phrases. Please note adults over 21 will have the experience of working alongside festival performers but not be included in the final festival performance.

ADULT BALLET 7.30 to 8.15 pm £5

Suitable for varying levels, beginners to intermediate. Incorporating Ballet barre, port de bras, adage, petit allegro and variations. Adults and teenagers age 16 over May attend.

ADULT TAP 8.15 to 9.00 pm £5

Suitable for the experienced tap dancer Intermediate to advanced. Broadway and Rhythm tap and various styles. Great fun for adults and teenagers age 16 above.

FOR YOUNGER MEMBERS

FRIDAYS commencing 8 September £3.50 NEW REVITALISED TODDLERS AND MOVEMENT CLASS.

This is a beginners class incorporating baby ballet and tap and for toddlers walking under the age of 21/2. Very creative incorporating ballet and tap movements with weekly themed ideas. Dressing up will be encouraged. One parent joins in.
4.30 pm Pre primary class ballet, modern and tap ages 21/2 to 4

5.30 pm Primary Ballet and Pre primary/ primary tap ages 4 to 8 New pupils welcome at all times

SATURDAYS commencing 9 September

Primary, Junior and Senior classes for ages 4 and upwards in ballet, modern and tap.
Additional extra classes in singing and theatre group plus
EXCITING NEW COMMERCIAL AND STREET OPEN CLASS (£4.50 for new pupils and £2.50 existing RDC pupils.) 3.15 to 4.00 pm ages 7 to 11 and 12 to 15
Learn up to date moves, the latest backing dances for current Pop-stars and bands as well
Street dances introducing locking, popping, krumping and many more. Encouraging existing RDC pupils and new pupils to come along and try.

SINGING LESSONS

We offer singing lessons for performance purposes in a group or as private lessons solo or on a shared basis. Please enquire for further details.
