Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies can also store or access information on your device. This page explains their use on the Rye Dance Centre website.

Ordinary website visits

The standard public pages are configured without Breakdance’s visit-counting cookies. No advertising or analytics cookie scripts are currently configured on those pages. This may change if new features are introduced; this policy and any required choices will need to be updated at that time.

Administration and essential features

WordPress uses cookies when an authorised user signs in to the administration area, including wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_* for authentication, wordpress_test_cookie to check browser support, and wp-settings-* / wp-settings-time-* for editor preferences. These are associated with signing in or using administration tools rather than simply reading the public pages. Essential session or security cookies may also be used when a feature requires them.

Videos and other external services

Some pages contain video hosted by Vimeo. The video provider may store or access information when its player loads or is used; its behaviour and cookie lifetimes are controlled by the provider. Read Vimeo’s privacy notice for details. Instagram and Facebook links open those services, where their own cookie and privacy policies apply. Ticket booking websites have their own policies too.

Managing cookies

You can inspect, remove or block cookies in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking essential cookies can prevent administration or other interactive features from working. Removing a cookie does not prevent the same service setting it again on a later visit. For guidance, see the ICO’s information about cookies.
